Roger's music will feature in one of Lesley Garrett's gala concerts this summer. Flight to the Iolite is to be performed by the Orchestra of Opera North in Bridlington on 31st August. Flight to the Iolite, a new 6 minute work for symphony orchestra, has won joint first prize in the West Forest Sinfonia Birthday Commission Competition and will be performed by the orchestra on 22nd June. The DreamWorks Animations film Bee Movie, which includes some of Roger's orchestrations, has now been released on DVD in the UK. Roger has been appointed Composer-in-Residence with the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain. More details to follow… Elegiac Impressions for Wind Orchestra is now available from Reynard Music. Roger has been working with composer Chris Nicolaides (whose credits include The Importance of Being Earnest and Life in Cartoon Motion by Mika), orchestrating on a new 12-part BBC2 documentary, Francesco's Mediterranean.
